Your privacy matters. CloudBooks Ontario complies with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect only the financial information needed to do your books, use it solely for the services you've engaged us for, and never sell or share it without your consent.
What we collect and why
We collect contact and business information you submit via forms or email, plus the financial records needed to do your bookkeeping. We use it only to provide the services you've engaged us for and to respond to your inquiries.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored in secure, access-controlled cloud systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online / Xero) protected by encryption and multi-factor authentication. We apply least-privilege access and never send bank data over plain email.
Retention and deletion
We retain client files as required by law and our engagement terms (generally seven years to match CRA records rules). You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of non-required data at any time via email.
Cookies and analytics
We may use privacy-friendly analytics and Google tag tools to understand site traffic and ad performance. You can opt out with your browser settings.
